On Fri., April 24, Sinto Senior Activity Center will be taking a special trip to MAX at Mirabeau, a fine-dining restaurant and lounge that has won wine and dining awards for the last six years running. Enjoy top-notch drinks, delicious appetizers, a wide selection of entrees and impressive service. The New American-style cuisine at MAX is created completely from scratch using locally grown and sourced products whenever possible, and is served along beverages from area winemakers and brewers to ensure the highest possible quality and taste.
MAX also donates to the senior center each year, so this is an opportunity to support the restaurant in return. There are even health reasons to get out and have a good time: Researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health have found evidence that having an active social life slows the rate of memory decline among U.S. seniors.
The restaurant is located at 1100 N. Sullivan Rd. in Spokane Valley; the group will leave from the Sinto Senior Activity Center, located at 1124 W. Sinto Ave. in Spokane, at 5 p.m. and return at approximately 8 p.m. The cost for transportation is $8 for members and $13 for non-members. The cost of the meal is not included. Founded in the 1960s, Sinto Senior Activity Center was the first community-run center of its kind in Spokane, and now organizes outings, on-site events, meals and even fitness classes for people 55 and up in the Spokane area.
